Well, Look What the Cat Dragged In...

Now, for those of you who know me, I am not a cat lover. However, this little guy has wormed his squiggy little face onto our blog and into my heart - for today at least.
The 7H2 class has officially joined the Junior Smackdown of 2014 as of today. They will be reading the same books as the H1s but will not be waging war against another class, rather, they will be engaging in a civil war on the battlefield that is known as room 222. And here are their picks. Let the smacking begin.

The Hobbit - Hammond, Porter
Huckleberry Finn - Ashlynne, Eve, Pudding
Counting by 7s - Amy, Maddy, Talayna
Wonder  - Aaliyah, Jessie, Selena
And Then There Were None - Zafir, Emma, Cody
A Tale Dark and Grimm - Tiff, Ethan, Amber
Maze Runner - Raesler, Pilon, Tall Matthew
Ender's Game - Noah, Liam

*kids that were absent today, I have your picks at home. I just forgot them. You still exist in the world of smacking.

Wow! Who knew?

Well, while Mr. Thomson is busy educating the fine students of Vimy Ridge on the various ways that the internet can be used for educational purposes, I on the other hand, am learning just how much time can be wasted looking for cool things that have to do with the word "dingle". So, as a treat to all of you, I will be gracing you with various pictures of a character named Dolly Dingle (pretty cool name if you ask me) who was the star character in a series of paper cut out dolls (what?!) that were popular in the early 1900s. I know that you will be waiting with bated breath until my next post.

Oh yeah! The actual reason for my post. The class of 7H1 have chosen their books for round one. For you rascals who never emailed me and were absent today, you can be added on a later post; although I can't promise that you will get a Dolly Dingle picture on yours.

The Hobbit - Seeger and Graham
Huckleberry Finn - Pascasio,Erik, Kahlo, Eli
Counting by 7s - Liam
Wonder - Payten, Caden, Victoria, Charity
And Then There Were None - Ash, Bobo, Claire, Parker
A Tale Dark and Grimm - Taylor, Maria the Rebel, Syd, Jes
Maze Runner - Riley, Nate, Jackson, William
Ender's Game - Maya, Ty

Happy Spring Break and Happy Reading!
