“You are the shuckiest shuck faced shuck in the world!”- maze runner by: Sydney slubik

When Thomas wakes up in the gloomy lift, the only thing he can recall is his first name. His memory is lifeless. When the lift doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by teenage boys who greet him to the Glade.  The Glade is a large, enclosed area surrounded by large stone walls. Just like Thomas, the Glader's do not know why or how they got to the Glade. For two years, runners have been searching the maze every day, awaiting to find a solution before nightfall.  The reason for this is that at night the stone walls close so that the rest of the glade is concealed, protecting the boys from deathly creatures called Grievers. All they understand is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surround them open, every night they've close tight, And every 30 days a new boy will be delivered in the lift. Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up.  This is the first girl to ever enter the Glade. Its up to Thomas to quickly learn the rules and solve the maze before time runs out for all of them!

There were very few things I would have changed about this thrilling book. One aspect of this book I would have altered is the type of language the author uses, some of the words can be a bit confusing a times.

The one factor that kept me reading for hours on end was that the author makes the characters come alive the moment they're introduced. The author does this so wonderfully that you feel the characters pain of wanting to escape the maze! I Loved this book!
