Freak the Mighty

Freak the Mighty is a story about two unlikely friends who become heroes. Kevin is a small boy who has a condition that has left him without the use of his legs but he is extremely smart. Max is a giant kid with a very small brain. Both kids get bullied and made fun of at school. However, when they are together, they are a powerhouse. Kevin goes on Max’s shoulders and they become Freak the Mighty. Together they are super smart and super strong. The two boys spent their days going on quests to fight dragons and rescue princesses. In the end, they end up in a real life adventure with a real killer.

I really enjoyed the book. My favorite part was when Freak saved Max from Killer Kane. He used his brain to outsmart the killer. My least favorite part was at the end when it got sad very quickly for a happy book.
