THE HOBBIT
A review of the book THE HOBBIT by the marvellous Liam O.
"THE HOBBIT" begins with a relatively rich and respectable hobbit living in a very cozy and comfy hobbit hole. He is just sitting outside on a chair blowing smoke rings when a mysterious wizard called Gandalf walks up to him and asks him to go on an adventure. Since Bilbo is a Baggins, (a very respectable and well known family line who were never known to go on adventures) naturally he refuses. The next day at tea time on Wednesday (when he invited Gandalf to come) the door rang. He thought it was Gandalf so he opened the door. But is wasnt Gandalf at all, it was a dwarf! Bilbo being the kind little soul that he is, let him in. While he was getting food for the dwarf there was another knock on the door. It was another dwarf, then in no time at all there were 13 dwarves in his hobbit hole all asking for food and drinks. Later that night the dwarves convince bilbo to go on the adventure to recover gold stolen by the dragon Smaug. If you want to find out what awesome adventures the little hobbit and friends experience, READ THE BOOK!!!!
This was an amazing book. It was full of adventure, mystery, excitement, and action.
What I liked about this book is the battle, fight and stealthy scenes.
What I didn't like about this book was that I thought there was to much traveling, there were some pretty dull scenes where they just walked or sat around and did almost nothing.
I would rate this book for grades 4 and up. I don't think anyone younger could grasp some of its concepts or read through the boring parts.
What I would change in this book is that there were less traveling scenes.
"I came from the end of a bag, but no bag was put over me" Said Bilbo to Smaug.

Good post. I agree about the slow parts but they aren't even close to significant enough to degrade this book. "I am Ringwinner and Luckwearer; and i am Barrel Rider!"
