Wonder By Logan Schultz

August Pullman is not an ordinary boy he is just like everybody else. Except he does not look normal, he looks abnormal. He was born with a birth defect that makes his face look different. This defect he was born with also gave him some problems with the rest of his body. To help fix all these problems he went through 27 surgeries, most of which happened when he was younger. This book is about August (Auggie) going to a public school for the first time. He is entering the fifth grade at Beecher prep middle school. Auggie's mom had been home schooling him up until now.Auggie  made 2 friends on the first day. Summer who doesn't care what he looks like, and Jack Will a boy who sits next to Auggie in every class and is a very loyal friend. Eventually a war brakes out between classmates and August is in the middle of all of it.

Things I thought that were different about this book compared to other books were, they all either ignored Auggie or stared at him. In other books people would make fun of him or avoid him or hurt him.

The part of the book I disliked most was how much people jugged Auggie about his looks without even knowing him. Don't judge a book by its cover its the same thing for people don't judge them until you know them and then you still shouldn't.

I liked how this book showed you should not judge people and be more open-minded.
