The Hobbit -Nate

I have to admit that before I started reading the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, I had thought it would be grueling and hard to read. I didn't pick this book up previously due to that fact. The first 30 or so pages were. But as you read on it picked up in pace, action and quality.

This book was about a hobbit by the name of Bilbo Baggins. One day at Bilbo's hobbit hole a dwarf had knocked on his door, then another, and another. Until a total of 13 dwarves and a wizard were in his house all eating and drinking. These dwarves and wizard had showed up to take Bilbo on an adventure to reclaim the dwarves gold that was being guarded by a dragon. They were going to the Lonely Mountain.

What I really enjoyed about this book is that every chapter there was something very significant that happens. Also, J.R.R. Tolkien can paint really vivid pictures in your mind when she writes.

The Things that I didn't like was how it started of a lot slower than I would have liked.
