A boy named Thomas wakes up in a metal lift, only remembering his name. But he's not alone. Thomas notices that he is surrounded by a group of boys welcoming him to the glade, the part of the maze that they live in. But the next day the very first girl shows up claiming she knows Thomas. While Thomas is here he makes friends and enemies. Everyone feels that Thomas is the one who is going to help them escape. But there is only one way out of the glade.
I loved many things about this book but my favorite would have to be how the author keeps the story going and how it gets more and more interesting. I didn't think that I would really like this book but I loved it!!
The only thing I would change about this book would be how the author makes up his own words. I find it very hard to follow through when your reading words that don't make sense to you.
