Maze Runner By yours truly, Tom Hammond

When Thomas awoke in a rattly elevator, all he could remember was his name. He was confused, and just wanted the dark elevator ride to end. After several hours of wondering how he got in there, the door opened, and he was greeted by many other boys. He had arrived at the Glade.

The Glade is a square of grassy fields, a forrest, a barn, and many other buildings. But the reason they were stuck in the Glade, is that they are surrounded by a gigantic maze, filled with monsters and warning signs saying many words about "experiments", and "killzones". All the boys wanted, was to escape this dreadful puzzle.

Thomas soon realized that he and his comrades were very peculiar; all they could remember were their names. The group of "Gladers" have set a goal of escaping from the horrifying maze, and find out what really is up. Thats what the Runners are for. they enter the maze in the morning, and mapped out the maze. They have been trying to escape, for two years. Thomas knew he had to be a runner.

The book was a full on suspense from page 1, keeping me engaged the whole way through, but the  short chapters and confusing ending really made me annoyed at times, but the good overpowered the bad, and is overall a great read.
